1. In CMMDB environment, MMD ends abnormally.
There is not enough space in shared
memory buffers for locking information at peak
hours. It also occurs that some buffers are not
synchronized, which causes inconsistent records in
locking table and can end abnormally. Daemons have
memory leaks which are exposed in CMMDB
environments and result in high memory usage
after running the daemons for some time.
2. To reset the write protected flag in Data
Protector IDB, tape needs to be rescanned with
write protected tab unset.
Resolution:
1. Shared memory size is increased for media
management locking as well as for IDB queries.
Data Protector daemons are fixed. Shared memory
synchronization is fixed for media management
buffers.
2. A new "-reset_wp_flag" option is added
in the omnimm command.
